Some MARTIN Aircraft Pilot's Manuals PDF are above the page.

Martin B-26 Marauder is an American twin-engine seven-seater medium bomber during WW2.

The Martin 179 aircraft project, developed under the direction of Payton M. Magruder, was presented to the Army Commission on July 5, 1939. Two months later, an order was received for 1,100 aircraft.

The first production B-26 took off on November 25, 1940.

The B-26B version was distinguished by enhanced armor protection and improved weapons, and the wing span was increased for later aircraft.

Thus, they tried to reduce landing speed, but this measure was not very effective due to the increase in the total mass of the aircraft.

Subsequent options, the B-26F and B-26G, had a wing angle of attack increased by 3.5 ° (in order to improve take-off performance). A total of 5157 Marauder aircraft were produced.

A total of 1883 B-26B aircraft were built at the Martin factory in Baltimore, and 1235 B-26Cs were produced in Omaha, Nebraska.

Pilots nicknamed the plane "flying coffin" and "widow." Senator Harry Truman tried to stop the production of the B-26.

The last flightable B-26 crashed in 1995.
