The French company was founded in 1970, abolished in 2000. Aerospatiale produced some aircraft (satellites, airplanes, missiles) for civil and military purposes.
Aérospatiale was founded by the amalgamation of the state associations Sud Aviation, Nord Aviation and SÉREB.
In 1981, together with the Italian company Aeritalia, the ATR aircraft was created, which produces regional turboprop passenger aircraft.
In 1991, the company took part in the creation of the then-new Bugatti EB110 supercar chassis, which was completely made of carbon fiber and was characterized by amazing lightness.
In 1992, Daimler-Benz Aerospace AG (DASA) and Aérospatiale merged their helicopter divisions to form Eurocopter.
In 1999, Aérospatiale merged with Matra Haute Technologie to form Aérospatiale-Matra.
Today a subsidiary company - Airbus.
