History of Piaggio Aero

Some PIAGGIO Aircraft Flight Manuals PDF above the page.

The history of Piaggio Aero begins in 1884, when Rinaldo Piaggio founded an enterprise in Genoa (Italy) for the production of rolling stock and equipment for passenger ships.

In 1966, the company split into two autonomous structures. One of them (I.A.M. Rinaldo Piaggio S.p.A.) began to develop the air route.

In the early 90s, the company's assets were bought out by large entrepreneurs headed by Piero Ferrari, from that time it became known as Piaggio Aero.

New investors invested in the modernization of the P.180 Avanti turboprop aircraft, which was being produced by the company at the time.

Sales went up in the first year - 70 clients - companies and individuals - decided to order the Piaggio Aero at once.

In 2006, 35% of the shares were sold to Mubadala Development Company from the UAE. And in 2015, Mubadala completely bought out the shares of the aircraft manufacturer and became its sole owner.

Piaggio Aero is currently engaged in the production of aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems, aircraft engine components.

This is a small, but the only enterprise in the world that has combined the production of both aircraft and power units for them.

The main product of the company is the seven-seater Avanti EVO.

It is advantageous to buy or rent a Piaggio Aero jet for those who need flights over medium distances - about 3000 km. In addition, it can be used for transcontinental flights with one landing.
