Epic Aircraft is a certified and experimental business aircraft manufacturer based in Oregon, USA.
The company develops and manufactures light turboprop and turbojet aircraft and aircraft kits for self-assembly.
The company was founded in 2004.
In 2009, it is going through a series of legal scandals and is going through bankruptcy proceedings.
In 2010, the company was sold to China Aviation Industry General Aircraft for USD 4.3 million.
The court ordered the Chinese company to own Epic in partnership with Epic's LT Builders Group.
However, already in March 2012, its stake in CAIGA was sold to the Russian company S7 Technics, controlled by the S7 Group.
In July 2019, it became known about the plans of the S7 Group to begin production of the Epic Victory jet in Russia. For this, the company plans to build a plant in Stupino near Moscow.
Construction is scheduled to begin in Q4 2019 and be completed by 2025.
